AI Accounts (ABN 00 000 000 000) (“we”, “us”) operates aiaccounts.au. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
When you use an AI feature (for example, generating a quote or scanning a receipt), the relevant content you submit is sent securely to our AI provider, Anthropic (the Claude API), to produce the result. We only send what is needed for that feature. We do not use your content to train AI models.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under appropriate safeguards:

Some of our providers (including Stripe and Anthropic) may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
Your app is private and password-protected, and configuration secrets are kept out of public access. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our marketing site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your app uses only the storage needed to keep you logged in and to operate the application.
We keep your account and app data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to allow reactivation, then delete or de-identify it unless we are required to keep it by law.
You can request permanent deletion of your account and all of its data at any time, in either of these ways:
When you request deletion we cancel any active subscription and permanently delete your account and all associated data — invoices, quotes, purchase orders, clients, items, expenses, uploaded receipts and settings — within 30 days. Some financial records may be retained for a limited period only where the law requires it (for example, tax and GST records).
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. To do so, contact us. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you believe we have breached the APPs, you may lodge a complaint with us and, if unresolved, with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its “last updated” date, will always be available on this page.
